Cheat sheet
- TON (on-delay) — accumulator counts up while EN is true; Q goes high once accumulator ≥ PT. EN dropping resets the accumulator. Classic use: "wait N seconds before alarming on a stuck condition".
- TOF (off-delay) — Q goes high immediately when EN rises and stays high for PT seconds after EN drops. Classic use: "leave the cooling fan on for 30 s after the burner shuts down".
- TP (pulse) — on each rising edge of EN, Q fires for exactly PT seconds regardless of how long EN stays true. Classic use: clean valve actuation pulse.
- CTU — counts rising edges of EN. Q goes high once count ≥ PV. Counts events, not time.
